Emma Hansen

Hi! I’m Emma! Throughout my life I have always loved art, but just recently really found my love and desire to paint.

I am the youngest of three kids and was born and raised in Idaho. I loved playing music on instruments such as the piano and violin as well as dancing to it.

With a series of trials happening the past few years of my life, I have learned to be positive and find the good in each situation. After I would overcome each one, it seemed another one would come my way. Each time a trial would come into my life, I would have to have faith I could overcome them.

This past year, my life was flipped completely upside down. Experiencing traumatic events such as a school shooting, and my biggest health challenge yet. I had epileptic seizures putting me in the hospital for days. I developed severe memory loss. This new reality was extremely hard as I was waking up each morning without remembering events of the previous day, including major milestones like epic birthday celebrations, and being forced to piece together my life through photographs and others perspective.

While figuring out health challenges I leaned close to music, but a deeper canvas was waiting.

As a self-taught artist at 22, this has become my sanctuary. Each original piece is a deeply expressive, textured fragment of my journey—translated from struggle into raw beauty, resilience, and transcendent peace. I hope my art does much more than bring beautiful pieces into a home but that it will welcome a tangible piece of light, redemption, and profound peace.
